Usher Raymond's son with ex wife Tameka nearly drowned on Monday in a pool accident.
Tameka posted a touching picture to Instagram on Thursday showing her cradling her young son with the caption, 'My favorite 5 year old. What a blessing!'
The boy, Usher Raymond V, was rushed to intensive care at an Atlanta hospital after getting his arm stuck in a swimming pool drain retrieving a toy.
According to TMZ, the child's Aunt Rena Oden and a maid both tried to rescue him in the pool before two contractors finally freed little Usher.
The youngster was given CPR and rode in the ambulance with his famous father, who rushed home after being notified of the accident.
Tameka, who divorced the 34-year-old singer in November 2009, has filed for primary custody of their children - Usher Jr and four-year Naviyd.
