Rich dad, poor dad author Roberto Kiyosaki files for bankruptcy
The famed author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” filed for bankruptcy after losing a $24 million dollar lawsuit.
However, the declaration of bankruptcy is seen in financial circles as a smart business move, taken to shield Kiyosaki’s estimated $80 million wealth from judgement debts .
Since Kiyosaki’s company, Rich Global LLC, filed for bankruptcy protection to shield itself from the judgement debt, the author now does business under Rich Dad Co, another company that he owns.
Unilag student damage Davido's car after concert
Dami Duro crooner, Davido, yesterday evening, got more than he bargained for at the University of Lagos, after excited fans chased him in his car and ended up breaking one of the windows.
The HKN artiste, was in the institution to perform at the First Bank-sponsored Youth Excel Programme. After he held his audience captive with a great performance, the students refused to let him leave, trailing him to his car. However he took it in good faith.
He tweeted: “Damn they broke my car window at Unilag!! Still luv ma fans tho!! Bless yall!! Amazing show!”
Omg! Man hides $15,00 in the oven, wife bakes it by accident
An oven is not a place to hide your cash. A man has probably learned a costly lesson where he hides his cash.
The unidentified father of Sydney, Australia, sold his car last week. The $15,000 in revenue was supposed to be spent on his mortgage pay mentand other expenses, according to the Australian news media.
Opting not to squirrel away with the loot in a mattress or bury it in his backyard, he decided to hide the cash in his oven, which is rarely used.
It turns out, his wife decided to use the oven that day. She preheated the oven to warm up chicken nuggets for her two children and, yes, she cooked the cash in the process.

I had tears in my eyes reading this...it was so touching. Goldie will be greatly missed.
My super star friend sways away and I stand watching till she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says "she's gone"...Gone where?
Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as gorgeous now as when last I saw her.
Her slightly disappearing figure and total loss from my sight is in me, not in her.
And just at that moment, when someone at my side says she's gone, there are others who are watching her coming over their horizon and other voices take up a glad shout - There she comes! That is what dying id - An horizon and just the limit of our sight.

Exactly one week Goldie died, a candlelight ceremony was held in her memory by her close friends and associates yesterday, Thursday. You would recall that, Goldie passed away on Valentine's day night shortly after she returned from the US where she attended the Grammy Awards on Sunday. The musician who is famed for her renaissance style, died at Reddington Hospital, in Victoria Island, Lagos.

True life story: Marriage is not easy
My name is Sophia and I have been married for the past 9 yrs, I’m blessed with 3 kids (2 boys and a girl) and I have the most amazing hubby. I’m trying to correct the notion that all marriages are wacky, which is not true.
It wouldn’t be nice if some single girls out there don’t get to know that marriages can work if you make it happen.
I got married 9yrs ago to my hubby, we dated for a year and got married. My friends were like it was too soon since we barely know our selves, I was staying in Abuja while him in Lagos, I just come occasionally to visit him, so after a year, we figured it was time to move to the next level which was very amazing.
We got married and I started living the life of a married woman.We loved each other so much but there were things we did not know about each other since it was long distance hence posed a problem for us. I had very bad mouth as of that time. I do like to challenge everyone including him which he didn’t like. We argued a lot which ends up with several beatings.
Nigerian Embassy denies Goldie's husband visa
Goldie’s husband Andrew Harvey, may not be able to attend her funeral this weekend. The Nigerian embassy in London denied Andrew Harvey a visa to enter the country. The reason was that he is ineligible However the widower plans to re-apply at a different embassy in a bid to make it in time for the funeral.
Na wa...they should allow the man to come and bury his wife!
President Jonathan pays tribute to late Justus Esiri
President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan joins other Nigerians in mourning veteran Nollywood actor, Justus Esiri whom he describes as an epitome of commitment, excellence and creativity.
President Jonathan reiterates his belief that Nollywood actors have carved a positive image for Nigeria in the eyes of the international community, with the late Esiri, a Member of the Order of the Niger (MON), having contributed in no small measure to the creation and sustenance of that image.
President Jonathan believes that the Nigerian movie industry and the country as a whole will greatly miss the popular actor who came to national limelight with his acclaimed performance in the popular television series, Village Headmaster, and other movies.
The President extends sincere commiserations to the Esiri family, the government and people of Delta State and all fans of the revered actor.
President Jonathan also condoles the Nollywood Family on the passage of a notable member, mentor, pioneer and inspiring actor, and enjoins the younger members to keep Justus Esiri’s legacy alive by promoting higher standards in their movies.
He prays God Almighty will grant the soul of the departed actor peaceful repose.
Breast cancer survivor's chest tattoo picture goes vira after been rejected by facebook
Facebook refused to accept a photo of a breast cancer survivor’s chest tattoo and the design company kept on re posting it. The company was then forced to throw it open to their follows to like and share the photo to show their support for the "brave" woman who proudly got a tattoo over her double mastectomy to celebrate her defeat of cancer and within a twinkle of an eye it went viral.
Shared over 118,000 times and liked 140,000 times. In turn, Facebook stopped removing it which means Custom Tattoo Design won the battle against Facebook's photo censorship.
Omg! 8-year old boy marries 61-year old woman in Zimbabwe
The bride was 61 years old and the groom was an eight-year-old boy! Both families were present at the wedding of Sanele Masilela (8) and Helen Shabangu (61) and the bride's husband and her five children were also at the wedding in Zimbabwe. The boy's aunt, Patience Masilela (46), explained why the wedding took place.

The man, a native of Imo State, visited the homes of Mr and Mrs Henry Ekene Ozor and that of Mr and Mrs Odia at Igando, Lagos, at night and shot his victims in cold blood over his relationship with Sandra, Katherine’s twin sister which her parents did not approve of. The thought of the incident that led to the brutal killing of at least seven family members gave the young lady of 24, a frightful look.
Narrating her experience, Katherine said: “We were at home when a man jumped the fence into the compound. Everyone was shouting Ole! Ole! (thief, thief). I checked and it was the guy that was dating my twin sister and he was carrying a gun. He aimed the gun at me and as he was about shooting, I jumped up and I didn’t know what happened again.” Waking up on the hospital bed, Katherine saw that it was her thigh that the bullet hit. According to her, the man carried a big gun, aimed at her stomach and shot.
Omg! One-year-old baby chopped off snake's head
An encounter between a snake and a baby ended in a surprising outcome Thursday, when the infant's mother walked into his room to find him chewing on the dead reptile. The infant, Imad Gadir, whose family resides in Shfaram, was not hurt when he bit the unlucky coin snake, but was taken to Haifa's Ramabam Medical Center, just in case.
According to Imad's grandfather, Shaheen Shaheen, who recalled the family's tumultuous morning, the boy woke up when his father left for work at 6:30 am. The 1-year-old left his parents' bed and headed to his room, where he found the 35-centimeter (13-inch) snake. He then grabbed it and bit its head off.

Goldie died of hypertension- Autopsy reveals
An autopsy carried out at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital on Goldie has revealed that she died of hypertension. The autopsy was conducted on February 19th and signed by Dr. O. Oyewole, states that she had a “terminal hypertensive heart disease” which resulted in “intracerebellar haemorrhage “ which lead to her death.

First Lady, Patience Jonathan, on Sunday opened up on her controversial medical trip last year, admitting for the first time she ailed terribly and was close to dying.
Mrs. Jonathan, who spoke at a special thanksgiving service at the Aso Rock Chapel where the first family worships, said she underwent multiple surgical operations and at some point her doctors lost hope after she “passed out for more than a week.”

I first met Darey in 1999 at Jazzville, a unique and bohemian music club of sorts which was the core pulse of the Lagos weekend social scene for many years up till 2001 when it was officially closed. Darey was a quiet young man then who would perform a few songs and play excellent notes on the keyboard. Then, I was somewhat of a total artiste moonlighting with stand-up comedy every friday night there as the in-house emcee who took over from the late Mohammed Danjuma of blessed memory. For over a year, every Friday night I would guide the good-natured revellers through the program for the long night, with occassional singing with the band on my part. Within that period, I met Darey who actually was honing his skills through the Jazzville experience with the help of Muyiwa Majekudunmi, the founder of Jazzville.

A woman has dumped her boyfriend publicly on an advertising board. The billboard, which was available for everyone to see at an Esso petrol station in Manchester on Valentine's Day, has subsequently become a viral sensation - with many people criticising Laura, who set up the message.
"Your clothes are at your mum's & I've changed the locks," the advert read."Sorry to do this on Valentine's Day." According to The Sun , Laura paid for the advertising space at the petrol station because it is where Dan gets his lunch. Renting the billboard costs £100 a month.
