Qatar Airways makes Emergency landing in Lagos
A Qatar Airways airbus aircraft with 248 passengers on board made an Emergency landing at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos after making distress calls to the control tower in Lagos.
Photos shows the tires of the aircraft after it landed safely in Lagos.

Train crushes woman to death in Lagos
Tragedy struck on Wednesday when a passenger train crushed a middle-aged woman at Oshodi in Lagos. The woman according to eyewitness was trying to avoid a puddle of water beside the rail tracks when the incident happened at about 7:15 a.m.
"The woman was trying to avoid muddy water along the tracks when the Ijoko-Apapa passenger’s train crushed her to death. ``The woman instead of jumping into the muddy water was trying to avoid it and the fast moving train dragged her under. It was like a movie. The train dragged her underneath and it was so fast for comprehension.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday arrested one Abubakar Tijani Sheriff 24yrs, whom it described as a bulk currency smuggler, as he attempted to smuggle $7million out of the country. The EFCC said in a statement that Sheriff, 24, was arrested at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos en route Dubai, United Arab Emirates, as he boarded his flight.
65yrs old grandma hides cocaine in herbal syrup
Luck ran out on a 65-year-old grandmother, Hassan Fatimat Abike also known as Chika Okoye, who attempted to smuggle 1.740kg of cocaine into London concealed in herbal syrup. The drug was packed in balloons and inserted in 10 plastic containers of herbal syrup to avoid detection. The suspect was to board a British Airways flight when officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested her at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos on Wednesday.
According to the Airport Commander, Mr. Hamza Umar, the suspect has two international passports that bear Hassan Fatimat Abike. Her passport numbers are A03348648 and A3771781A. “She was caught during the screening of British Airways passengers to London,” Hamza explained.

Nigerian Man weds two Zimbabwean women in four days
A 46-year-old Nigerian, Henry Inedoro has been dragged before a Magistrate in Harare, Zimbabwe for bigamy and perjury after he married two Zimbabwean ladies within 4 days of each other.
Inedoro had been deported in 1998 when he was used the name George Asinayo. He however found his way back into the country. His 2 marriages were conducted by the same official after he had presented himself as a bachelor before officials without terminating his first marriage which was conducted four days earlier.
He pleaded guilty to both counts, he was thus sentenced to 20 days imprisonment or an option of $ 100 coupled with deportation after the payment of the fine or the service of the jail term.
What exactly could he be looking for? Green card or yellow card.

The President who took over office on the 1st of March 2010,said in a recent interview that the only big item he owns is his Volkswagen Beetle car, valued at $1,945 dollars (about N308,283) . 3 Arrested for kidnapping and killing Lagos business man
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested three men -Ogbuesor Sadiq, Abdulwahab Mutairu and Adenola Lanre- for the alleged kidnap and murder of a businessman, Akinsanjo Akinlade. Akinlade was alleged murdered in Ogijo, a border town between Lagos and Ogun states on August 31, 2012.
According to police authorities, the suspects kidnapped, killed Akinlade and dumped his body in Ogijo.
Strange: 9yrs old boy commits suicide
A nine-year-old boy, Daniel Kwaku Nyaatse has committed suicide at Adabraka, near the NTHC building in Accra. According to his mother who gave her name as Millicent, there was nothing wrong with her son as at Saturday last week. She told Citi News “we woke up this morning to find Kwaku hanging on a rope in front of our house.” According to the deceased's mother, there was no indication he was suffering from any abuse. She noted that he had not been bullied at any point in time while in school.
The body has since been deposited at the Ridge Hospital Morgue.
Very strange and sad! How did he even tie the rope? May his soul rest in peace.

Baba Suwe to shoot movie about his NDLEA Ordeal
The popular Yoruba actor/comedian "Babatunde Omidina", popularly known as "Baba Suwe" is set shoot a movie concerning the bitter and difficult experience, which he was alleged of drug trafficking by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency ( Ndlea ).

A young man named Ugo Ozuah, who got married on the 15th of September, 2012 was shot, five days later, on the 20th of September, 2012. According to his friends and family, he was shot by drunken policemen who pulled up beside him in a pickup van. Although the Police has not released an official statement on his murder, his friends and family have been broadcasting news of his death on Blackberry and social media in a bid to get justice.

In a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RGGC) Central Parish, located at Aminu Kanu Crescent, Wuse II, Abuja, a female member of the choir named Comfort Amos, 40, abducted a 9 month old baby (Toni) during service.
Apparently, she sat next to the mother of the child( Toyin Obafemi) whose husband( Timothy Taiwo Obafemi) is the choir master and carried the child under the guise of playing with the baby as is customary in most places. She excused herself with the pretext of going to give her house-help money for offering, and never came back. The mother, naturally, after a few minutes went around to search for her to hand over the baby but couldn’t find her. She started asking around and when someone tried to call her, she answered rudely and said that she was at Jabi park but was returning shortly.

A Pakistani minister "Ghulam Ahmed Bilour" has offered $100,000 bounty to anyone who kills the maker of the Anti-Islamic film titled "Innocent of Muslim". He said :

Viewer discretion!!! Freshly born twins found at a refuse dump in Onitsha
Residents of Okosi Road in Onitsha, Anambra State woke up to a most gruesome sight Sunday Morning. On top of a pile of rubbish in a garbage dump lay the dead bodies of a set of twin babies. It was obvious that they were just a couple of hours old. Still covered in fluid and placenta still intact. People flocked to the scene as the ghastly story quickly spread. So far, there are no leads concerning the identity of the mother and it still remains a horrible mystery.
Lord have mercy!Really shocking...this is wickedness in the highest order. Why go through the whole 9 months and throw the babies away. Very sad!

Chinese hospitals are introducing a new machine which can extract sperm for donors.
According to China’s Weibo social platform the automatic sperm extractors are being introduced in a Nanjing hospital, capital of Jiangsu province.
The pink, grey and white machine has a massage pipe at the front which apparently can be adjusted according to the height of its user.
It has a small screen on the top which plays films for the user to help them with the extraction process.
The director of the urology department at Zhengzhou Central Hospital said the machine was being used by infertility patients who are finding it difficult to retrieve sperm the old fashioned way.
A website which is selling the machine for $2,800 promoting it stating 'it can give patients very comfortable feeling.'
