Gunmen destroy MTN,Airtel masts in Kano and Maiduguri

Several masts belonging to telecommunications company, MTN and Airtel have been destroyed in some parts of the North.

Gunmen suspected to be members of Boko Haram burned down at least ten masts yesterday morning in Maiduguri and Kano, making it almost impossible for mobile phone users to use their phones.

Boko Haram members have in the past been concerned they may be traced through mobile phones and probably decided to do something about it...and no one was there to stop them!
