150 students walk out of school in protest over transgender using women's toilet.

Many students walked out of school after a transgender woman was allowed to use the women’s locker room. More than 150 students in the Missouri high school, walked out in protest of their classmate Lila Perry, who is a transgender woman.

40 students came out in support of Perry, who identifies as female since 13 years old, and came out as transgender last year. The protest followed a controversial school board meeting, where some parents
expressed concerns about their girls sharing a dressing room with Perry.

They claim that the students feel uncomfortable around Perry. However, she believes it is outright bigotry.

The school attempted to resolve the issue by offering to make a gender neutral locker room for Perry to use. However, she rejected the idea and insisted on using the women’s locker room.

After the protest, Perry decided to abandon gym class altogether. She reportedly tries to avoid using the bathroom at school, but when she does, she uses the women’s bathroom.

“I am a girl. I am not going to be pushed away to another bathroom, “ Perry said. “America: Deal with it, not everyone is like you are. Just let them be,” she added.
