THINKING LIKE GOD

"Text:" For as the heavens are higher than the earth. So are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts” Isa. 55:9

There is a way God thinks. That is what makes Him who He is. The only way we can function like Him is to begin to think like Him. If we’ll live like God we must also think like Him.

The opening scripture talks about His “…thoughts higher than our thoughts…” that does not mean that His thoughts are unattainable or out of reach but rather it means that His thoughts are better and richer. His thoughts produce results that are completely better than anything on this earth. When we apply His thoughts in our relationship, jobs and our day to day living, it will produce greater and more enduring results in our lives. The thoughts of

God actually mean “His approach to life, His ways of handling issues.”

We actually acquire His thoughts as we rob our minds on His words. The thoughts of a man are expressed in his words. So also, the word of God is God’s thoughts in print. “The more of His word we know and adopt, the more we function in his thoughts.”

The pattern of thought you have adopted will determine the quality of life you live and the overall outcome of your life. If your pattern of thinking is limited to this world then you have limited yourself to the limitations and challenges of this world. The world thinks in terms of impossibilities, inadequacies and weaknesses. As our thought pattern rise so will our quality of life rise. God’s pattern of thoughts is that of purity, victory, dominion, possibilities, breakthroughs, wholeness and perfection. The more we set our hearts on God’s word day and night the more we think and reason like God and the more our life conform to him.

CONFESSION:

My thoughts are in line with the thoughts of God. I do things like God. I see results like God.
