'Every young man needs an Uncle Phil': Will Smith



Will Smith has expressed his sadness at the loss of his TV uncle, friend and mentor James Avery.

Taking to his Facebook page almost a week after the popular star's sudden and tragic passing at the age of 65, Will shared some kind words about the man who he says helped shape him.

'Some of my greatest lessons in Acting, Living and being a respectable human being came through James Avery,' he wrote. 'Every young man needs an Uncle Phil. Rest in Peace.'
