An Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court has remanded a 19-year-old woman, Helen Okafor, for allegedly killing one Ajoke Omoyele, 48, with a cooking spoon.
The incident was said to have happened at Abakpasa Street off Imude Road, Otto Awori area of Lagos State.
It was learnt that Okafor and one of the daughters of the deceased had a fight within the neighbourhood over water.
Omoyele was said to have stood between the duo to mediate in the scuffle when Okafor picked the spoon and hit Omoyele’s head with it.
The victim allegedly collapsed. It was said attempts to revive her proved abortive, as she later died.
The mother of one was subsequently arrested and arraigned on one count of murder.
