The 41-year-old actress explained critics seem to get the idea she and Will allow each other to be with other partners because the pair are 'very relaxed with one another'.
She suggested her reluctance to weigh in on her husband's every moral decision.
'Because at the end of the day, Will is his own man,' Jada said.
'I'm here as his partner, but he is his own man. He has to decide who he wants to be and that's not for me to do for him,' she continued, adding that the agreement goes both ways.
Jada also credits their strong friendship with helping their marriage to survive long past the Hollywood average.
