Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez has died aged 58 after more than a decade as one of the world's most controversial leaders. He had been battling cancer for two years.
Chavez will be laid to rest in a massive state funeral on Friday, which will be followed by elections to choose his successor within the next month. May his soul rest in peace!
