Actress Nkiru Sylvanus and Kenneth Okolie have been freed by their kidnappers. They were freed yesterday evening in Owerri. We were not told if a payment was made or not, but they are back home now and that is the most important thing. Thank God.
Meanwhile, Imo State Police Command yesterday said it has arrested 16 suspects in connection with the kidnapping of the actress. The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Vitalis Onugu (DSP), disclosed that the suspects were arrested in a raid of suspected kidnappers’ dens in the forest, adding that they were already assisting the police in its investigation.
