Naked man holds his girlfriend hostage on top of a roof because his in-laws refused to let them get married
A construction worker held his girlfriend hostage on a Chinese rooftop after her parents reportedly refused to approve their marriage.
Hundreds of onlookers and armed police watched as the man stripped to his underwear and ordered his girlfriend to do the same so she would be shamed in front of their neighbours.
He announced he was going to kill her and claimed the 29-year-old regularly had affairs when he went to work, according to various local media reports.
At one point the man, identified as a 32-year-old named Lin, stripped completely naked.
He held his girlfriend by the throat and waved the meat cleaver in the air as trained negotiators tried to talk him down from the roof of the quiet residential block.
The man's relatives were brought to the scene on Monday to try and talk him down but had little luck.
As police and soldiers surrounded the rooftop, the half-naked kidnapper demanded a getaway car for himself and his girlfriend.
Eventually police provided one and, still holding his terrified partner, the man put his jeans back on and climbed down from the roof into a city square.

But as he made his way towards the car officers gave chase, managing to pull him away from his girlfriend and throw him to the ground.
Still topless, he was handcuffed in front of hundreds of stunned onlookers and led away.

Police accuse man of raping five boys, it's a lie says suspect i only raped four!
The Edo State Police Command on Tuesday paraded a 33-year-old man, Justine Oliseh, for allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse with five underage boys.
Oliseh, who confessed to sleeping with the boys, however said he defiled only four as against five being alleged against him by the police, saying he resorted to the act after being jilted by his girlfriends.
He said, “It is about four of them (boys). What happened was that when my girlfriend broke my heart, I tried another; it was the same. So I started sleeping with the children. Their age ranged between 11 and 14 years.
“They always come to greet me and I usually apply cream. It was on January 1, 2014 that I was caught.”

Supersports employee killed by Robbers while withdrawing from ATM
PUNCH Metro learnt that the deceased had gone to withdraw money from an Automated Teller Machine at a Wema Bank branch located on Jagunmolu Street around 11.30pm when he was attacked by the robbers.
It was learnt that the 38-year-old indigene of Ekiti State was shot.
The assailants were said to have also snatched Kunle’s Mazda salon car and fled, leaving him in a pool of blood.
It was learnt that policemen attached to the Bariga Division, who were on night patrol, saw Kunle’s body and took him to the station before his family members were contacted.
The police were said to have taken him to the Gbagada General Hospital where he died two hours later. He was survived by a wife and three children. So many deaths this January!

An Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court has remanded a 19-year-old woman, Helen Okafor, for allegedly killing one Ajoke Omoyele, 48, with a cooking spoon.
The incident was said to have happened at Abakpasa Street off Imude Road, Otto Awori area of Lagos State.
It was learnt that Okafor and one of the daughters of the deceased had a fight within the neighbourhood over water.
Omoyele was said to have stood between the duo to mediate in the scuffle when Okafor picked the spoon and hit Omoyele’s head with it.
The victim allegedly collapsed. It was said attempts to revive her proved abortive, as she later died.
The mother of one was subsequently arrested and arraigned on one count of murder.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, says it has nabbed a 34-year-old man, Anthony Ezechukwu, for allegedly using names of some prominent Nigerian political figures and spouses of others to dupe unsuspecting members of the public.
The anti-graft agency said Ezechukwu, a graduate of the Lagos State University, allegedly cloned the Facebook accounts of the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala; wife of Lagos State Governor, Abimbola Fashola; wife of the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Aisha Bala Muhammed; and the Director of the Abuja Geographical Information Systems, Jamilah Tangaza.

On the 15th of January 2014, I got married to my lover and Best Friend. It was such an intimate event, I haven't stopped apologising to family and friends who feel slighted that they could not attend. I really did not wish to keep it a secret, If anything we would have loved to have all our loved ones there with us but this was our registry and so much had happened between Maje and I in the last 3 months. Plus, it was such a huge surprise, I had no clue. I hate surprises but I must say, this one knocked me out of my elements because i usually suspect something is happening. Hehehehe!
